Adolescent Gynecology

mom and preteen child

This covers the health of young girls as their bodies develop into adulthood. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Academy of Pediatricians recommend that girls should have their first gynecological visit before they go to college except they have issues such as menstrual problems. It is also important for young girls to receive the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine to prevent cervical cancer.
